Application for a break in studies

Procedure

Please fill in the form and send it along with the appropriate attestations (medical certificate, copy of family register, notification of military service) to the Office for Admissions and Registration until:

The application is only valid for one semester.

Consequences of the break in studies

During the break in studies you are not allowed to follow courses, exercises or seminars, practical work, hand in written work or register for examinations.

Limitation of the number of breaks accorded

You can obtain up to a maximum of 4 breaks in studies during all of your studies at the University of Fribourg.

Payment of the semester tuition fee

During the break in studies only the basic registration fees must be paid.
