Countries whose citizens do not require a visa

Students who are citizens of the countries that constitute the EU and the EFTA, or Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand and Singapore do not require a visa.

The EU and the EFTA are composed of the following states : Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, The Czech Republic, Cyprus, Denmark, Eire, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Malta, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, The United Kingdom.

Usually, in order to enter Switzerland one must be in possession of an appropriate passport or a valid identity card. In addition, students must obtain a residence permit within 14 days upon entering Switzerland.
