Bachelor programme: special features

Human and dental medicine

Admission to studies in human and dental medicine is coordinated by the Rectors’ Conference of the Swiss Universities (CRUS) and governed by special conditions of admission. A preinscription must be made before the 15th February and, if the quotas determined by the CRUS are exceeded, students will be subject to an aptitude test.

Candidates with foreign qualifications
In order to be able to apply for studies in medicine, you must fulfil the conditions of admission fixed in the "Ordonnance du 27 novembre 2012 concernant l'admission des candidats et candidates étrangers aux études de médecine à l'Université de Fribourg pour l'année académique 2013/14" (in german).
In addition, you must satisfy the conditions of admission for candidates with foreign qualifications.

Applications for 2013
If you wish to study human or dental medicine in 2013, you must apply online until the 15th February 2013 to the Rectors’ Conference of the Swiss Universities (CRUS).

Special Education

Online application until the 30th April 2013.

In addition to the online application, you must submit a complete application to the Institute of Special Education until the 30th April 2013.
 

Biomedical Sciences

Online application until the 30th April 2013.

Science of Sport and motricity

Online application until the 30th April 2013.

The admission is subject to passing a test of physical ability and motor control organized by the Department of medicine - Sport science. In addition to the online application you must also register for the test at the Department until the 10th June 2013.

If the number of candidates succeeding in the test of physical and motor skills proves greater than the number of places available (50 new students), then a cognitive ability test will also be administered.

Start only in the autumn semester for certain courses

For certain degree or study programmes, studies may only begin in the autumn semester. For more detailed information please consult the "Offre d'études bachelor" or the "Bachelor-Studienangebot".
